Josh Gaunt

Josh joined Headland in 2013 and has developed a broad range of practical and managerial skills in his roles as Project Manager. He has been instrumental in the delivery of several of Headland's highest-profile infrastructure projects, including the Triton Knoll Onshore Cable Route, Norfolk Vanguard/Boreas, and the Norwich to Tilbury section of The Great Grid Upgrade.

He has extensive experience leading teams on complex projects with demanding deadlines, ensuring that safety, quality, and compliance remain central throughout. Josh specialises in managing large-scale infrastructure and linear schemes, typically coordinating multiple field teams through complex logistical schemes. His responsibilities include budget management, programme development and forward planning, as well as maintaining strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders across diverse project networks. He is committed to providing clear advice, robust support, and high-quality deliverables that help clients meet their planning and regulatory obligations.

Josh's project portfolio reflects a deep and wide-ranging knowledge of British archaeology. His experience includes prehistoric sites across Scotland and Northern England; Iron Age enclosure settlements in York, Newcastle; medieval urban archaeology in Newcastle, and Edinburgh; and multi-period landscapes throughout East Anglia.
