Dan has over 5 years of experience working in commercial archaeology. During this time Dan has worked all over the UK and has gained experience in all periods of British archaeology.

He has been employed by Headland Archaeology since 2022, during this time he has progressed to the role of Senior Archaeologist and has worked predominately on large-scale infrastructure projects including Norfolk Vanguard/Boreas OWF Onshore Mitigation and Sheringham Shoal & Dudegon OWF Extension Projects Onshore Trial Trenching works.

Dan’s role as Senior Archaeologist entails effective on site management of mitigation or trenching works, clear communication with client, landowners, Civils staff and the archaeological teams. His work includes ensuring health and safety is the first priority, facilitating and ensuring the training and development of junior staff, and effective communication with all stakeholders. Prior to starting his career in archaeology Dan worked for various construction companies as an onsite banksman and groundworker.
