Damion Churchill

Damion Joined Headland in 2022 and has twenty years of experience in commercial archaeology in the UK. Damion is responsible for advising clients regarding the work required to support planning applications and ensure that any conditions attached to consent are discharged.

Damion has extensive experience working on major infrastructure projects and has spent the past four years working as a HERDS Manager on behalf of EKFB who are undertaking construction works on behalf of HS2 limited within the central section. Prior to this, Damion also managed archaeological fieldwork on behalf of Scottish Power for East Anglia One Offshore Windfarm scheme and the Wyfla Horizon Nuclear Power, in advance of their DCO application.

Damion also has experience as an Archaeological Project Manager who oversaw a team of archaeologists working within the North West of England. This followed a Twelve year career as a field archaeologists working on a variety of sites including leading an excavation of an Iron-Age to Early Romano-British Settlement in County Durham, undertaking excavation of Mesolithic land surfaces in Bath and excavating the remains of a 17th century plague cemetery in Leith, Edinburgh.
