Adare to Patrickswell Trunk Main Water Scheme

Limerick County Council engaged the services of Headland Archaeology to undertake test excavations as part of the Adare to Patrickswell Trunk Main Water Scheme. Four sites were identified as part of this work, including a medieval moated settlement, a corn drying kiln, a burnt mound and field ditches. By using the results of this previous work, Headland Archaeology were able to focus resources on high-risk areas, ensuring that development scheduled maintained momentum.
