Tay Waste Water Project, Angus

Headland was commissioned to undertake an archaeological watching brief during the construction of the Tay waste water pipeline, approximately 37 km of interceptor sewers and pressurised rising mains between Dundee and Arbroath. The pipeline corridor lay within the coastal zone and ran through six previously identified areas of archaeological sensitivity including a military firing range. Headland’s flexible approach, sometimes with several teams working in the field at one time, enabled the client to proceed without delay to their agreed timetable.
