RENEWABLES - WINDFARMS, TIDAL TURBINES, WAVE GENERATOR, BIOMASS

Construction in the renewables sector continues to be a growing industry in the UK and Ireland. Headland provides a full range of archaeological services in this sector both on land and at sea.

Headland has undertaken heritage contributions to Environmental Impact Assessments on many windfarm and other renewables projects. This has required attendance at Public Local Inquiries, expert advice, assessment of hydrographic surveys through to monitoring of groundworks.

Headland's expertise in the field of renewables is demonstrated in a recent article for the Cork Chamber of commerce: 'Unearthing a Niche Market: Archaeology and Wind Farms'
