Forestry surveys

Headland has for many years developed expertise in carrying out rapid pre-afforestation surveys. Until 2002 Historic Scotland funded archaeological surveys as a part of the Woodland Grant Scheme Application process. Headland Archaeology held the contract to undertake these archaeological inventories for a period of 6 years. During this time we built up a reputation for responding rapidly to requests for fieldwork, accurately identifying and locating archaeological monuments and providing a quick turnaround on reports.
