Headland was commissioned to undertake a desk-based archaeological assessment by McInerney Homes, in advance of the proposed construction of a large housing development.  Working with our clients’ development schedule, we implemented a phased programme of assessment and excavation. A geophysical survey of the site enabled targeted test excavations, with full excavation of a limited area to fulfill all planning conditions and minimise cost to our clients.
