Who are we? Headland Archaeology Ltd, now Headland Group Ltd, was formed in 1996 as a commercial company committed to serving the construction industry. Our business has gone from strength to strength and today we are one of the fastest growing companies in the archaeological sector. We work in both the UK and Ireland through our two subsidiaries, Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd and Headland Archaeology (Ireland) Ltd. These provide a regional focus and enable us to react and adapt to the different commercial environments in the UK and Ireland. We currently have offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hereford, Cork and Galway.

What do we do? We try to balance the commercial side of being an archaeological contractor – offering innovation, quality and service; with the cultural – job satisfaction and a progressive working environment. We work with clients on projects of all sizes but have built a reputation for delivering on large infrastructure projects. We have the right people and the resources, including a range of specialist teams, to face every eventuality. 

How do we do it? - through training and investment. We invest in our staff. We invest in the business. We aim to predict future work and market trends, develop new products and services – all designed to keep on top of the business and focused on the client’s needs.
