2008 - New directors were appointed to the subsidiary boards

    UK – Russel Coleman (CoB), Andrea Smith, Simon Stronach & Tim Holden (MD)

    Ireland – Russel Coleman (CoB), Ross MacLeod, Damian Shiels & Colm Moloney (MD)

2008 – Stephen Carter retired from the Group Board leaving Coleman, Moloney, Lowe, Holden (CoB) and the newly appointed David Betts as Financial Director.

2008 – Staff levels peak at 420 employees (120 permanent)

2008 – A major restructure was undertaken which saw the creation of Headland Group Ltd and two equal subsidiaries, Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd and Headland Archaeology (Ireland) Ltd.

2008 – Following the successful completion of the M74 project, one of the largest archaeological excavations undertaken in Britain, the Glasgow office moved into bigger premises at Payne St, Glasgow.

2007 – A second Irish office was opened in Galway to support major projects on the N6 and N17 (Tuam Bypass). The office, on the Liosbaun Industrial Estate, Galway, is managed by Ross MacLeod.

2007 - Cork office moved to the current location at Wallingstown Business Park, Little Island

2005 - An office opened in Glasgow in St Vincent’s Place

2003 - Ireland office wins their first major roads contract, the Waterford bypass

2002 - The UK Company moved to Jane Street, Edinburgh to accommodate growth.

2002 - A wholly owned subsidiary was set up in Midleton, Co. Cork. Its registered office was the Europa Enterprise Park. The directors were Moloney, Coleman and Holden with Moloney as the resident director in Ireland.

2000 - Russel Coleman taken on as a project manager in June 2000, later becoming a director..

2000 – Colm Moloney joins Holden, Lowe and Carter as a company director

1998 - In partnership with SUAT Ltd, Headland undertook the archaeological excavations at the Scottish Parliament, one of the largest excavations ever undertaken in Scotland.

1996 - Headland Archaeology Ltd was established by Stephen Carter, Tim Holden, Chris Lowe and Magnar Dalland and was based at the Albion Business Centre, Edinburgh.
