ENVIRONMENTALThe environment is an essential part of all our lives. Where we live, what we eat, and what resources are available affect us every day. These do not remain static: we are continually reminded of the importance of changes in the landscape, sea levels and deforestation. Together with the study of human disease and trauma, integrated analyses of biological remains (pollen, plant remains, human and animal bones) underpin archaeological interpretation and are an important part of Headland Archaeology. The benefits of this are obvious. Our in-house specialists enable us to monitor and control all aspects of our own project work, providing a quality product and allowing us to bring in archaeological projects on budget and to deadline. External archaeological contractors also benefit from Headland’s environmental expertise, utilising our specialist advice and analysis to add extra value to their own projects.
